Made with Groppello, Marzemino, Barbera and Sangiovese, this Valtenesi Chiaretto [kee-ah-reh-toe, a local term for rosé around the lake] is produced by harvesting, pressing, macerating, and aging each varietal separately. That's an enormous amount of labor, but the Pasini family takes their work to heart. Besides making great wine, biodiversity and preservation are their other central missions. The property is certified organic, solar-powered, carbon-neutral, and also a haven for pollinators and native flora.
Light medium-bodied, dry. Coral pink in color with notes of roses, wild strawberry, and pomegranate. The palate is soft with bright fruitiness, acidity, a bit of tannin.
